Did you capture the American Idol finals in 2015 in between Taylor Hicks and Catherine What’s Her Name? Who won? The one with the best voice? Or the one with the most personality?

So numerous entrepreneurs lose their time and money bragging about being the best. “We offer the best doohickeys …” “We offer the finest client service …” ‘

It’s dopey to brag about being the best! Why? ‘Cause
1. Everybody says it.
2. It’s most likely not true.
3. We do not believe you anyhow
However do not stress over it, ’cause
4. We’re not always searching for the best.

Take a look at singers. The most famous. The most loved. Are they the very best? Rod Stewart’s what, 92? And still churning out struck albums! “Do You Think I’m Sexy?” No Rod. I do not. When the tune came out and definitely not now, not 30 years ago. In some way a geriatric Rod got to wiggle his properties on American Idol along with Taylor Hicks! Poor Catherine is doing a lame cameos on Ugly Betty.

The “It” Factor
In showbiz, there’s an expression “You’ve got ‘it’.” What’s “it”?

The reason they call it “it” is since it’s difficult to put it into words. It’s got something to do with charm, magnetism, the power to attract and hold an audience. Frankly, Rod Stewart never ever did it for me, however Elvis certainly had “it”.

Gain Access To Your Inner Elvis
I just saw a film about Elvis’ life. Why are individuals so interested by Elvis? Why are they still telling me “Tsufit, I simply saw Elvis at a convenience store!” when he passed away before Britney Spears was born? Why? Because a character that big never ever dies.

Why was the man such a star? Was it his appearance, his character, his voice, his music? It’s most likely all of those things– together with this wonderful thing called “it”, however even with Elvis, it took him a while to find his inner “it”.

In the motion picture, a docu-drama (or shlock-u-drama), Elvis walks into Sun Records, a little Memphis recording studio, to sing for Sam Phillips. Elvis sings like Bill Monroe; he sings like Bing Crosby; he sings like yesterday’s news. Simply another vocalist. A dime a lots.

It wasn’t a quickie, even for Elvis, to find his initial voice. But he kept at it and Phillips kept pushing him. Eventually he did discover it. And the rest is history!

What’s this got to do with business owners? Everything!

You got ta find your original voice. You got ta gain access to your Inner Elvis!

Do that and enjoy your star shine.
