Did you catch the American Idol finals last year in between Taylor Hicks and Catherine What’s Her Name? The one with the finest voice?
I’m gon na inform you a trick, something no one ever informs entrepreneurs. It’s not about being the best! It never was. Yet numerous business owners lose their time and money extoling being the very best. “We offer the best doohickeys …” “We supply the very best customer service …” ‘
It’s dopey to brag about being the best! Why? ‘Cause
1. Everyone states it.
2. It’s probably not true.
3. We don’t think you anyhow
Don’t worry about it, ’cause
4. We’re not always searching for the very best.
Take a look at singers. The most popular. The most loved. Are they the best? Rod Stewart’s what, 92? And still churning out struck albums! “Do You Think I’m Sexy?” No Rod. 스포츠중계 I do not. When the tune came out and definitely not now, not 30 years back. However in some way a geriatric Rod got to wiggle his properties on American Idol along with Taylor Hicks! Bad Catherine is doing a lame cameos on Ugly Betty.
The “It” Factor
In showbiz, there’s an expression “You’ve got ‘it’.” What’s “it”?
The factor they call it “it” is because it’s hard to put it into words. It’s got something to do with charisma, magnetism, the power to draw in and hold an audience. Frankly, Rod Stewart never did it for me, but Elvis absolutely had “it”.
Access Your Inner Elvis
I just saw a movie about Elvis’ life. Why are individuals so amazed by Elvis? Since a character that huge never passes away.
Why was the man such a star? Was it his appearance, his character, his voice, his music? It’s probably all of those things– together with this wonderful thing called “it”, however even with Elvis, it took him a while to find his inner “it”.
In the movie, a docu-drama (or shlock-u-drama), Elvis walks into Sun Records, a little Memphis recording studio, to sing for Sam Phillips. Elvis sings like Bill Monroe; he sings like Bing Crosby; he sings like yesterday’s news.
It wasn’t a quickie, even for Elvis, to find his original voice. Eventually he did find it.
What’s this got to finish with business owners? Everything!
You got ta find your original voice. You got ta gain access to your Inner Elvis!
Do that and watch your star shine.
